Tasted exactly like a proper cream tea, right down to that sweet jammy edge under the rich, buttery fudge. Made me slow down and savor each bite instead of wolfing it down.
The texture is spot on—creamy and dense without being overly sweet, and that jammy tang really comes through. Even the crumbly edges taste like the crust of a proper scone. I’ve already ordered another slice for myself.
Brought this to a Sunday tea spread and it vanished before the scones did. The texture is dense but melts right on the tongue, and that jam stripe cutting through the cream is the perfect touch. One slice is dangerously easy to justify finishing alone.
